Dain’s Place a Top College Bar in the US?

A couple of days ago, Dain’s Place on 9th Street, landed on Business Insider’s list of top 31 college bars in the country. While I don’t know what the criteria was for this list or if Dain’s can really be considered one of the best college bars in the country, I can definitely get behind it being on a list for bars with the best hamburger. Just look at my face in the picture, nice fresh bun, cook to perfection juicy burger. Well check out what they had to say and go here to see if they left your alma mater’s favorite drinking den off the list:

Dain’s offers a low-key atmosphere and a good place to get to know your classmates away from the madness at Shooters Saloon. The burgers are still out of control though. The Defibrillator — taste-tested by Adam Richman of “Man v. Food” — is a half-pound burger topped with sweet chili, cheddar, coleslaw… and a hot dog.

The owner, Dain Phelan, equates the experience of drinking at Dain’s to “going over to a friend’s house and drinking their parents’ beer in the basement.”
