The Doughman – Eat, Bike, Run and Swim

The DOUGHMAN is the world’s premier Team Relay Quadrathlon, combining competitive eating with a traditional triathlon. The 2010 DOUGHMAN was record-breaking – 280 racers (70 teams of four) ate their way through Durham to help raise awareness and $25,000 for the Durham Inner-city Gardeners (DIG) program at SEEDS and SeeSaw Studio! Teamwork, local foods, and athletic competition all wrapped up in a perfect philanthropic package!

We KNEAD your help to double our DOUGH-nation to our charities for 2011 – our goal is to raise $50,000 for SEEDS, DIG and SeeSaw Studio. Ambitious? Yes. Insane? Perhaps. Genius? Absolutely. Because if we at the DOUGHMAN have learned anything in the past four years, it’s that DOUGH-peeps across the globe will Rise to the Challenge! The gauntlet is thrown, a challenge is issued. Game. On.

The race promises to be as much fun as ever, and we’re planning some exciting new opportunities for spectators – like enabling you to sample all of the culinary treats Durham has to offer without breaking a sweat (provided the May weather cooperates). We’re currently seeking sponsors to help make this the best DOUGHMAN ever. Contact us at sponsorship@doughman.org to find out how you can exchange some DOUGH for your logo on our sought-after t-shirts, among other incredible benefits.
