Entertained from Royale Street to Louis Armtrong Park: Jazzfest Day 2

The following is part two of a series. Please click here to view part one.

On our 1st full day in the big easy we fully immersed ourselves in the four things that draw us south to New Orleans a few times a year, food, drink, history & music.

Royale Street has quickly become our favorite street in NOLA. With the ends of each block closed off for performers, you can’t help but stop and take in what each corner has to offer.

While we avoid Bourbon Street in the evenings because it fully lives up to its wild reputation, we do walk the iconic thoroughfare a couple times in the milder daylight hours.

We paid our daily homage to Jackson Square before crossing Rampart Street into the Treme section of New Orleans for “Jazz in the Park” in the historic Louis Armstrong Park.
