New England vs Buffalo: Buffalo Bills Chicken Lolipops

Yesterday was a great day in the AFC East as it made adjustments in attempt to put itself back in its natural position (Patriots on top). Jets lost, Dolphins lost and the Patriots beat the Buffalo Bills. Its fitting that I made Buffalo Chicken Lolipops for the occasion.

I had previously seen pictures of these frenched chicken wings and it looked like an interesting way to eat wings. I used House Autry Chicken Breader because it has a great flavor, fries chicken great and I didn’t have time to season my own flour.

Ingredients

chicken wings

Frank’s Hot Sauce

House Autry Chicken Breader

Butter

oil

French the chicken wings to expose the bone (see Frenching 101).

Place the chicken lolipops in a plastic bag with enough hot sauce to coat the wings and let marinate 1-12 hours ( the longer the better)

Heat oil to 350 degrees

Place chicken breader in a shallow dish, roll the chicken to coat and place in oil until lolipops are a golden brown (approx 10-15 mins).

In a pot add some Frank’s Hot sauce to a saucepan over low heat.  Add butter to taste, if you like a hotter sauce add less butter

Spoon the hot sauce (or toss in a bowl with sauce) wings and enjoy with a cold beer and blue cheese dressing (make you own with crumbled blue cheese, mayo, sour cream, salt and pepper).
