Farmers Market Cooking

When it comes to cooking, one of my favorite things to do is pick out fresh fruits, veggies, cheese and meats from the farmers market and come home and cook with them.  Most of the time I pick out whatever makes me drool, bring it home and figure out what to do with them, Here are some ingredients I picked from the North Carolina State Farmer’s Market in capital city Raleigh:

I used ground beef from Angus Barn to make burgers on fresh market bread topped with peppers, onions and goat cheese from the market:

For dessert I grilled the fresh peaches and topped with ice cream and a sauce made with some of the goat cheese:

The next morning I finished of the fresh bread loaf and used the peaches as a topping for Captain Crunch French Toast (click here for recipe):
