On my last trip to Singapore I made the grave mistake of eating at a “southern style” BBQ joint. To avoid the urge to wonder down that path again I stopped at Back Yard BBQ on Hwy 55 for a final taste of the south.
What I Ate:
Rib Platter w/ two sides – awesome ribs, tender, huge and good smoke flavor. My only knock was they needed a little salt but that was easily solved. Some of the cheesiest mac and cheese around (more cheese than mine, I clearly have to step my cheese game up) but a tad oily at the bottom. Good collards, nice tang with a little sweetness (my grandmother the collard expert was not a fan).
